Q & A with Kyle

What professional project are you most proud of?

The project I’m most proud of is my work on the Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) at LAX. It’s one of the most complex infrastructure programs in the country, with multiple projects advancing simultaneously in a fully operational airport.

What makes it meaningful is the level of coordination required—aligning city agencies, utilities, developers, and airport operations while managing real estate constraints and accelerated construction schedules. Being part of a program that will fundamentally improve how millions of passengers access LAX—and seeing those pieces come together in real time—is incredibly rewarding.

What do you love about the aviation industry?

I’m drawn to aviation because of the scale and complexity—it’s one of the few industries where infrastructure, operations, and global connectivity all intersect.

Every project requires balancing safety, efficiency, and real-time operations while delivering long-term improvements. You’re not just building infrastructure—you’re improving how people and goods move around the world. That combination of technical challenge and real-world impact is what makes aviation so rewarding.

What is your favorite airport and what makes it stand out to you?

LAX stands out to me because of its complexity and constant evolution. It’s one of the busiest airports in the world, operating within tight constraints while undergoing major modernization.

What makes it unique is how many systems have to work together—airfield operations, terminals, ground access, and regional transportation—all within an active environment. Being involved in that transformation gives me a real appreciation for how much coordination and planning goes into keeping an airport like LAX running while it’s being rebuilt.
