Q & A with Tracy

How did you enter the aviation field?

I started as a security officer at O’ Hare airport. I loved being at the airport; it was a small city of its own and I didn’t want to leave .  After years with the city bouncing around in different positions including finance, marketing, safety and security to design and construction projects, all those pieces fit together and became my niche. I never thought I’d be in aviation. It was always my goal to become a Chicago police officer.

What professional project are you most proud of?

Building 5 gate extensions in one of the O’Hare concourses. They were the first new gates O’Hare had seen in 20 years. Managing that build out for the city, and working so closely with American Airlines, was exciting to be a part of.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

Iceland. By far. It was an amazing untouched place; just beautiful. I’d recommend it to anyone.
