Metro Detroit, MI – On Thursday, May 16, 2019, Jacobsen|Daniels (J|D) worked with the Charleston County Aviation Authority (CCAA) Board of Directors to adopt a new Minority, Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Program. This program will encourage equal procurement opportunities for minority, women-owned business enterprises to compete for business as contractors, subcontractors, service providers, suppliers and vendors with the CCAA.

“CCAA continues to reach out to be inclusive in our communities for our local businesses and especially to include the MWBE businesses,”…“We strive for all our communities and businesses to be successful.”

Paul Campbell – CHS CEO & Executive Director.

J|D’s Management Services Group (MSG) worked with the CCAA on this program for the last two years and is the first program of its kind for the Authority. The purpose of the program is to increase participation, promote and support minority and women-owned businesses in their respective efforts as contractors, subcontractors, service providers, suppliers and vendors to compete for business and participate in procurement opportunities with the CCAA. It is designed to document initiatives, establish procedures and implement best practices that best inform, present, and achieve results for maximum consideration and participation by MWBEs.

“We are excited to work with the airport to implement this program,” said Darryl Daniels, J|D President & CEO. “Our corporate mission is to improve the journey, and we are certain that promoting minority and women-owned businesses will benefit the CCAA and the Charleston community.”

The CCAA is a public body established by the state of South Carolina to operate the Charleston International Airport, Charleston Executive Airport, and Mount Pleasant Regional Airport.

J|D’s MSG provides organizational development and performance management, strategic planning, workforce planning and training, and small business diversity and inclusion programs — with the purpose of helping organizations manage their human and other capital resources efficiently, effectively and competitively.
