J|D’s Joint Venture, JD RoVolus, Elevates FAA Consulting with Expertise and Seamless Management
Since 2018, J|D has partnered with another small business to form a joint venture, JD RoVolus, which provides a variety of consulting services to the FAA. These services have included documenting complex interagency process, facilitating the update of various Advisory Circulars, leading educational environmental initiatives, and providing software development expertise.
In addition to the technical work performed under this contract, J|D proficiently managed over ten subcontractors and the many contractual arrangements that are associated with managing a multi-million-dollar contract. From the technical review of deliverables to ensure high-quality work is completed for the FAA to the invoicing and task closeout with over a dozen FAA task managers, J|D seamlessly delivers support to our industry’s leading federal agency to oversee and enforce the implementation of FAA policies and priorities.
Accomplishments
- Supported the software development, implementation, and update of FAA’s Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT)
- Delivered guidance and workflows for the Office of Commercial Space Transportation
- Provided geospatial services, including the development of an online database of documents and visual tool for the Office of Airport Compliance and Management Analysis
- Facilitated the update of the FAA Airport Compliance Manual
